Can a Single Man go to LegoLand?
Have you ever intended to visit LegoLand by yourself and have some fun? You can’t! This may sound shocking, but it is true.
Theme parks are supposed to be family friendly places where you can visit freely when you want to have fun. But. You are not allowed to enter LegoLand if you are just one single man. You also can’t enter if you are just one woman by yourself.
An adult has to be accompanied by a child to enter!
It’s sounds weird but is actually one of the rules of LegoLand. This rule also applies to the LegoLand discovery centers in all parts of the world.
However, the Legoland theme parks in California, Florida and New York do have this rule.
One of the main reason they have this rule is so that they can ensure the maximum safety of children. Yes, there has been many cases of kidnapping and abuse reported in Lego land. So the rule is a move to prevent this.
The authorities seem to have assumed that pedophiles and kidnappers will come alone without families of their own. If you come with a child, you are automatically deemed safe.
Interestingly, they don’t require any certification to state that the child you bring is your own. So does that help reduce kidnapping?
There are many men who have even filed human rights complaints for age discrimination! After all, adults love Lego too.
Fortunately, the Lego Land discovery centers do offer an adult only night occasionally to compensate for this absurd rule. If you are a single adult hell-bent on enjoying the LegoLand discovery center, you can make maximum use of these exclusive nights.
